Rocking concrete wheel placed in a local cafe in Maastricht as a clock movement gently rocked back and forth as the counter weight motor construction inside of the form revolved. Speakers embedded within the form resonated with the the blues recording 'Mean Old World’ by T-Bone Walker. Another T-Bone Walker recording 'Stormy Monday was an optional consideration referred to in archival data.
“This work has always been a very significant one for me. The moving concrete rock with song inside was temporarily installed in a small café around the corner from the Jan Van Eyck Academie.” RH
